Original WWII Rubber Conservation Poster Only Posted In Hawaii

Description:

n Hawaii during WWII, it was a known problem for drunken sailors and tourist to toss bottles and break them in the roads. This lead to many damaged tires and with the rubber shortage early in the war, this poster was very much needed. I obtained this poster from the family of the original artist. Designed by Robert M. Jones who would produce many posters for Hawaii during the war. His posters were exclusively posted in Hawaii, mainly just Oahu. He also went on to win 6 Grammy Awards for designing album covers in the 1960s.
